Aravinth Selvan

Aravinth Selvan is the Lead Writer and Tamil IPTV Editor at ThiraiBox. Born in Jaffna and raised in London, he has been writing about Tamil streaming technology since 2018, helping over 50,000 Tamil families across Europe set up Tamil IPTV.

He focuses on practical, no-nonsense guides — from explaining MAC address activation in plain language to comparing Tamil IPTV boxes like Fire TV Stick vs Mi Box. His articles have been read by Tamil families in the UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, Canada and Australia.

Aravinth holds a B.Sc in Computer Science from King's College London and previously worked as a streaming engineer for a major UK-based IPTV provider before joining ThiraiBox. He grew up watching Sun TV, Vijay TV and IBC Tamil with his family — and now writes the kind of guides he wishes had existed when his parents were figuring out Tamil TV in the diaspora.

When he's not writing, Aravinth follows Tamil cinema, supports Chennai Super Kings, and helps maintain the Tamil community Discord server in London.
